The client originally wanted to transport the cargo from Huntsville, AL, however there was limited aircraft availability 和 the shipment was needed as soon as possible. We used our industry contacts to source a 波音747 based a three-hour drive away on the East Coast US from one of our UK-based airline partners. The aircraft usually operated scheduled flights from East Coast US to Doncaster on a wet lease, but was grounded due to Covid-19 putting their client’s business temporarily out of action. As it was sitting unused, we were able to negotiate a part-charter price for the aircraft. Following the flight, the shipment was trucked from Doncaster down to London.
